My husband loves engaging people in conversation by asking them to tell him about themselves. I can't count the number of times he's said 'tell me something I don't know about you'. So this post is inspired by him; I hope these five things are news to you (even after social media stalking me).

I love writing! You may have assumed this one, but I doubt social media tipped you off. Writing has always been a creative, therapeutic outlet for me. I used to be afraid of sharing my writing with others because I always wrote such emotional and vulnerable things. I have written countless poems and short stories that I later ripped up and threw away so no one would find them.

I enjoy budgeting. I balance my budget in my free time and I have my expected budget laid out YEARS in advance. Growing up money was always a huge stressor to my family; when money was talked about it was always in reference to there not being enough. I think that's why I find it so empowering to know exactly where my money is going. I plan to write more about budget-friendly things because that's just how I live my life.

I have tough relationships with many of my family members. This has evolved into me not initiating conversations or visitations with them, nor they with me. I will dive into this more and explain how this has shaped and affected me throughout my life. [I told you - I write some vulnerable stuff!]

I am incredibly impatient; I work quickly, delegate poorly, and expect results yesterday. Regrettably, my impatience has caused me to have a history of quitting things that aren't giving me results as quickly as I want. I'm working on this daily, but it's definitely one of my biggest weaknesses.

I thrive in the 'grey' areas of life. Black and white is nice sometimes, but there's something about the frantic-fast-paced world of figuring it out in real time (FIO, as my husband calls it) that gives me life! You've heard the term organized chaos, I love organizing the chaos. I find joy in organizing spaces, items, words, tasks - you name it.
I hope I was able to teach you something new about me. I look forward to sharing more soon!
